Drum Parts Inc., was founded in 1947

  • Drum Parts, Inc. was founded in 1947 operating from a 15,000sq. ft. plant in Cleveland, OH. In 1969 Group Industries, an Ohio-based holding company, purchased Drum Parts, Inc. After operating successfully for a few years, and needing to expand its geographical market Group Industries purchased a Chicagoland manufacturer. Known as Rings Incorporated then would become Drum Parts Midwest, Inc. in 1973. Upon the acquisition Lane Zamin, an experienced tool & die maker, was hired to run the plant as well as automate and improve efficiency.
  • In 2005 Lane Zamin purchased Group Industries with the help of his son, Steven.
  • Today Drum Parts operates with over 50 years of experience in manufacturing and roll forming. Presently Drum Parts operates out of a 38,000 sq. ft. location in Thornton, Illinois and 36,000 sq. ft. location in Cleveland, Ohio specializing in the production of components used for the industrial container industry.
